Splinter Cell: Ubisoft should have a new main part obviously given green light

Tom Clancy s Splinter Cell, also known as Splinter Cell, is a video game series developed by Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Shanghai and published by Ubisoft. The genre focus is Stealth, but also action-containing passages are included. As a secret agent Sam Fisher, the player executes orders on behalf of the secret operating structure Third Echelon of the National Security Agency (NSA). Third Echelon is the United States answer to the ever-increasing threat of cyber terrorism. Their units are referred to as Splinter Cells (splitter cells). These always operate alone and are in use except for a permanent connection with the headquarters on themselves. Third Echelon is classified as strictly secret , the existence is denied by the US government.

According to current reports, there is a new main part of Splinter Cell at Ubisoft in development. The Stealth game is supposed to be at the moment in an early stage of production. An announcement could still exist next year. After the brand has recently returned to the mobile and VR market, many fans were disappointed that Ubisoft did not develop any other part for PC and console. In 2013, with Splinter Cell: Blacklist published the last game of the main series so far.

While it is still unclear which studio is responsible for developing Ubisoft for development, but the sources pointed to VGC that the game will not arise with the Montreal team. In recent years, the company has repeatedly confirmed that there is still interest in the brand. Instead of a new main part, there were only announcements for a VR game in cooperation with Oculus and an anime series that is produced together with Netflix. The screenplay comes here from Derek Kolstad, who has already worked on John Wick.

Our editor Lukas Schmid has been expressed in a column in September in a column about a new Splinter Cell, which Ubisoft has not wanted to develop for years. In an interview, CEO Yves Guillemot spoke last year over the reasons why Splinter Cell so far was only on the waiting list at Ubisoft. Accordingly, the achievements of other brands should be responsible for the stop. In addition to Assassin s Creed, there are also newer Ubisoft titles such as Watch Dogs or The Division.

Ubisoft has allegedly given new splinter Cell green light

We may hope more than ever for a return of Splinter Cell if we believe in the recent rumor believe. For years, fans screamed by Splinter Cell: On the one hand after a new main part, on the other hand again because of the abuse of main character Sam Fisher as a guest star in any other Tom-Clancy titles, some of them little popular free-to-play and Mobile games. The last part of the series, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, has now eight years on the hump. So it s really time that Ubisoft either announces a successor or officially buried the series, instead of keeping us with vague statements [something like: Yes, Splinter Cell is important to us and we see what we can do with it More we can not say more now (no official quote)]. Well, but what it looks like, there is actually hope for a new part. The colleagues of Video Games Chronicle (VGC) want to learn from non-detailed developer sources that Ubisoft had given a new Splinter Cell Green Light . And therefore, no free-to-play or mobile s...
